Hi!
I'm Anna, 27 from the Arctic Circle, Finland.
Last year I cycled from Tallinn to France and did some volunteering on the way. This year the trip will be shorter and I'm hoping to do some outdoor work and surfing ^^
Things I'm interested learning more about:
- Permaculture, gardening
- Natural building
- Off grid living, tiny houses
- Sailing
- Nature conservation
- Learning new languages
- Help disadvantaged people
WHAT CAN I OFFER TO THE PROJECT?:
- My willingness to learn new skills
- Maturity and trustworthiness
- A solid background of volunteering (workaway, WWOOFING): nature conservation, hostel, preschool, monastery, housekeeping.. I have done volunteering in at least 7 countries.
- Hard working attitude
- I'm physically very fit
- I have a yoga teacher certificate
- My degree on occupational therapy and I'm specialized in working with children and youth with autism spectrum disorder and disabilities.
- Years of experience in working in hospitality
- Common sense and ability to work on my own or in a group
I do not to volunteering just to have a roof over my head, but to learn new things, get to know the local area and meet new people :) I'm open to all lengths of stay and if I find the perfect match, I'd be willing to stay up to 6 weeks. My ideal workaway would be a tiny house project on the coast somewhere I could also surf :)
I try to live clean life without excess drinking or smoking, but I'm not judgmental about that. I always enjoy a good party and I looove dancing!!
I'm vegetarian, but I do eat fish. Trying to go towards veganism though.Interests

Hospitality:
I have worked in various restaurant in Finland as well as in New Zealand. I have good customer service skills, I'm able to make good coffees and work at the bar.
Working with kids:
I have been working in few different preschools, so I'm used to being around little humans and can take care of them.
Rehabilitation:
I'm on my last year or studying occupational therapy, so I have some skills in the rehabilitation area. Even though I don't think these skills will be very helpful in Workaway projects :D
Yoga:
I have a yoga teacher certificate, but I haven't taught in few years. I can still share my knowledge on yoga if wanted :)
Other:
I have a good working attitude and I don't mind getting my hands dirty. I'm physically fit, so hard work doesn't bother me. I have done a lot of different types of volunteer works in the past like: teaching kids English in Myanmar and Thailand, working in a hostel in Laos, helped with garden work and house painting in New Zealand, worked in a permaculture island in Malaysia and done some nature clean up with WWF. All these projects and life in general has thought me a lot of things that are hard to put in words.Age

Alejandro showed me the real lao way of life and was a bridge between me and the locals.
I stayed 5 days and I was working on the rice fields and did some small things in the guesthouse.
The guesthouse is a special place and I hope one day I will be able to come back!
I stayed almost 3 weeks, within those weeks I learned so much about meditation, buddishm and burmese culture.
